--Notice of Intent to Modify Existing Award to Incorporate Operation and Maintenance of Water/Wastewater System at Fort Monroe, VA.

The Northern Region Contracting Center, Directorate of Contracting, Fort Eustis, VA, intends to modify contract W911S0-06-C-0012 incorporating operation and maintenance of the water/wastewater system at Fort Monroe, VA. The anticipated modification period of performance will be for five months and three option years. The performance period shall be 3 April through 31 August 2008 with options for the period 1 September 2008 through 31 August 2011. This action does not provide for full and open comp etition. Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition is FAR 6.302-1, 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The intended source is Ameritac, Inc. Ameritac, Inc. is the only known source that can provide uninterrupted services. Any interruption or discontinuation of these services would cause severe mission failure. Firms that feel they can provide this service are encouraged to identify themselves and provide a sta tement of their capabilities no later than 1300 hours on March 27, 2008. No solicitation will be issued. The Government will consider all inquiries received by the due date. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition is solely wit hin the discretion of the Government.
