THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION NOTICE. The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform all interested parties that formal public announcement, USA-SNOTE-070928-003 posted 28 September 2007, for the Public-Private Competition of Public Works/Logistics pe rformed by the Department of the Army, Installation Management Command (IMCOM) located at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, has been amended. Based on market research, a more suitable approach for the Public-Private Competition will be to compete the Public W orks and Logistics requirements under two separate competitions. There will be one solicitation for Public Works services. The incumbent service providers affected by Public Works are approximately 118 DoD civilian personnel positions. There will be one solicitation for Logistic services. The incumbent service providers affected by Logistics are approximately 187 DoD civilian personnel positions. Standard competitions will be conducted for each solicitation in accordance with Office of Management and B udget Circular A-76, 29 May 2003 (revised). The solicitations will be issued at a later date. Prospective private sector and public reimbursable service providers are encouraged to respond to the solicitation when issued.
