--Change the number of solicitations under formal public announcement Special Notice USA-SNOTE-060728-001 of 28 Jul 06

The purpose of this Special Notice is to provide a change to the number of solicitations for the formal public announcement under Special Notice USA-SNOTE-060728-001 of 28 Jul 06 for the public-private competition of public works and logistics functi ons performed by the Department of the Army, Installation Management Command located at White Sands Missile Range, NM. There will be one solicitation for logistics. The incumbent service providers affected for logistics are approximately 71 DOD civilian personnel positions. There will be one solicitation for public works. The incumbent service providers affected for public works are approximately 187 DOD civilian personnel positions. The solicitation for public works will allow public and private offer ors to propose on the public works and environmental services separately. A standard competition will be conducted for each solicitation in accordance with the Office of Management and Budget Circular A-76 of 29 May 2003 (Revised). The solicitations will be issued at a later date. Prospective private sector and public reimbursable service providers are encouraged to respond to the solicitations. The anticipated performance decision date for both requirements is 28 Jul 08.
