This notice is not a request for competitive offers. This is a notice of intent to extend the current contract DAKF40-01-C-0001 to the incumbent, ITT Industries Systems Division, for the duration of 01 Oct 06 through 30 Jun 07 on a month by month ba sis or until the competitive award is made, from the competitive Request for Proposal under Field and Installation Readiness Support of (FIRST) IDIQ, W911SE-06-R-0013. The solicitation was published on the website, Army Single Face to Industry, opened on 0 7 July 2006 with a closing date of 07 August 2006. The Government awarded the current cost plus award fee contract (DAKF40-01-C-0001) on 25 Jan 01, with a 1 Apr 01 through 31 Mar 02 base period, plus four one-year option periods. The Government extended the contract through 30 Sep 06. The contract provides maintenance, supply, and transportation type services and includes the overall management, operational, and support responsibilities for following functional areas: Maintenance Level Operational Read iness; Ammunition Supply Point; Food Services/Troop Issue Subsistence Activity; Central Issue Facility; Central Installation Property Book Office; Unit Moves Section; Personnel Moves; Personal Property Moves; Corps Consolidated Loading and Control Center; Arrival/Departure Airfield Control Group; Surface Distribution Hub; and Movement Control Center. The incumbent contractor is ITT Industries, 4410 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80916. The contractor will provide services for nine mo nths on a month by month extension under the same terms and conditions as the existing contract. The extension is required to ensure the Government receives continuous services until the Government executes a competitive follow-on contract. The contract extension is authorized under the authority cited in 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1), and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Any responses to this notice must show clear and convincing evide nce that competing this extension period would be more advantageous to the Government. The Government determination not to compete this contract extension period based on this notice is solely within the Governments discretion.
