This modification is being done to correct the place of performance from Susquehanna, PA to New Cumberland, PA. The Defense Logistics Agency, a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) agency, will host a Site Visit and Pre-Proposal Conference for Solicitation SP0700-05-R-7019 (A Total SB Set Aside) at the Defense Distribution Depot, Susquehanna, PA (DDSP) on November 9-10, 2005. DLA provides focused logistics support to America’s Armed Forces around the world. DDSP is the eastern DLA Strategic Distribution Platform, with facilities at New Cumberland and Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The administrative headquarters for DDSP, the Defense Distribution Center (DDC), is also located at New Cumberland. The installation encompasses 851 acres along the Susquehanna River in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. Facilities within the installation include over 200 buildings, 26 miles of road, and 18 miles of railroad. The installation support services include facilities and housing maintenance and repair; refuse, recycling and hazmat/hazwaste services; operations, maintenance and repair of utilities systems; grounds, equipment maintenance and repair; and mail service. The service provider will be required to provide the leadership and management expertise necessary and appropriate to manage and to accomplish all functions contained in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The annual baseline cost is approximately $13 million. The site visit is scheduled for November 9, 2005, commencing at 8:30 a.m. local time; registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. local time.
