--DACA78-99-D-0003--Extending Performance Period for Services to the US Forces in the Balkans

This notice is for the extension to the Balkans Support Contract (BSC), DACA78-99-D-0003, with Kellogg, Brown and Root Services (KBRS) which was competitively awarded on February 19, 1999. This extension is pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 230 4 (c)(1), and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, 'Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements'. The period of performance of the extension is twelve (12) months from May 1, 2005 to April 30, 20 06, with six (6) and three (3) month options for extensions to October 31, 2006 and January 31, 2007, respectively. The estimated dollar value of the twelve month extension is $105,600,000.00, the six month option period is $52,800,00.00, and three month option period is $26,400,000.00. Upon award of the follow-on replacement contract entitled 'USAREUR Support Contract (USC)' and full mobilization of the successful USC contractor, the Government intends to take all necessary and expedited steps to fully t ransition from the BSC and only place orders for services and temporary construction under the USC.
