NNMC is requesting Orthopedic Surgeon services to be performed at outpatient and inpatient floors. The estimated cost for the services based upon the IGCE is at $101,416.77 for 520 hours over a 12-month period. Description of Circumstances, including why only one source is reasonably available. Determination of Fair and Reasonable Price. IAW FAR 13.106-3(a)(v) and (vi), the only quote received was compared to current market trends as indexed against the IGCE. The IGCE was created by viewing the total cost of the previous three years’ worth of Orthopedic Surgeon services for the facility. Based on the trend analysis, the attached IGCE estimated that the facility would require $405,667.08 for FY’23, however only 520 hours are needed for the year. Due to the urgent nature of the requirement, any attempt to follow normal solicitation procedures may prove detrimental to the operation of the facility. Description of Market Research . Northern Navajo Medical Center has limited Orthopedic services. The market for Orthopedic Surgeons is hard to come by let alone qualified candidates who will be credentialed according to credential guidelines. Dr. Cashman is credentialed and cleared to provide services for Northern Navajo Medical Center. Due to the urgency of need, buyer will award to bring Dr. Cashman on as a contractor.
