This is a Notice of Intent published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101(a)(1) requiring the dissemination of information regarding proposed contract actions. This Notice of Intent is for a proposed award of a sole source, firm-fixed price contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(2), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) and FAR 6.302-2 Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action are of such an unusual and compelling urgency that the Government would be seriously injured unless the agency is permitted to limit the number of sources from which it solicits bids or proposals. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 21 intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract to SJS Executives LLC DBA SJS Industrial for temporary maintenance staffing services for the VA Central California Healthcare System. The VA requires the services to supplement the staffing levels at the healthcare system until the healthcare system can hire the adequate number of maintenance staff. These services will ensure that the healthcare system is properly maintained to remain compliant with VA and industry standards.
