On behalf of the Veterans Affairs Illiana Health Care System (VAIHCS), 1900 East Main Street, Danville, IL, 61832, the Great Lakes Acquisition Center, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source contract with Randstad Professionals US, LLC for Urgent Care Physician Services at the VAIHCS, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. VAIHCS has a need for three (3) full-time employee equivalent (FTEE) physicians who are board certified/board eligible in Family Practice or Internal Medicine, and who have a minimum of two years clinic practice experience. Physicians shall also hold a current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and must be registered with the Drug Enforcement Agency. Services are required Monday through Friday from 6:00 p.m. through 8:00 a.m.; Saturday from 8:00 a.m. through 8:00 a.m. on Monday; and 8:00 a.m. on federal holidays to 8:00 a.m. the following day. The period of performance is July 1, 2017 through September 30, 2017. Randstad Professionals US, LLC is the only vendor able to meet the needs of the Government. Randstad currently has physicians who are credentialed and privileged at the VAIHCS, and who have meet all VA security requirements. Services to veterans will be able to continue without interruption. If awarded to another vendor, there would be unacceptable delays in fulfilling the requirements. The VA is constantly attempting to hire VA permanent staff. If recruitment and onboarding of permanent VA staff is successful during the performance period, contract services may no longer be necessary.
