The U.S. Coast Guard, Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic (MLCLANT), Norfolk, VA intends to award a contract for Maintenance and Repair Services of Honeywell Fire Alarm and Intrusion Detection Systems at the U. S. Coast Guard Sector San Juan, Puerto Rico on a sole source basis to Honeywell International, Inc. and its branch, Honeywell Building Solutions, Guaynabo, PR, who is deemed the only responsible source capable of providing the required services. A Sources Sought Notice was issued on 09/06/2007 under RFQ HSCG84-07-Q-AA7209. This announcement is for informational purposes only and is not a request for quotes. No solicitation is available. The proposed acquisition is a follow-on contract to ongoing Purchase Order HSCG28-07-P-7W1020. This requirement is solicited in accordance with FAR Subpart 6.302-1, Other than Full and Open Competition, Sole Source; and, using the policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and the procedures in FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. A Firm-Fixed Price type contract will be awarded for a Base Year, starting 1 October 2007 trough 30 September 2008; and, Nine Option Years, if exercised by the Government.
