Interior Door Locking Devices for Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps.

This is a notice of intent to sole source a procurement under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR 6.302-1 Other Than Full and Open Competition – one responsible source. The applicable NAICS Code is 561622. The USMC Regional Contracting Office – National Capital Region (RCO-NCR) at Quantico Marine Corps Base, VA intends to award a sole source contract to AA Locksmith Service Company of 3103 10th Street North, Arlington, VA 22201-2191 for interior door locking devices comprised of 200 lever and rose assemblies and key cores bitted to the Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps (HQMC) Master Key system. Due to security requirements, only AA Locksmith Service Company can provide the items. The HQMC Facilities Office has an existing Master Key system registered with AA Locksmith Service Company using equipment manufactured by Yale. The registration is on a national register recognized by all major lock companies and vendors. Only AA Locksmith Service Company is authorized to produce the bitted equipment. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however a firm that believes it can meet the requirement shall provide a capability statement to the Contracting Officer. Capability statements, if received timely, will be considered; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
