ON: 05/22/2012 NAICS: 562212 Solid Waste Landfill AUTHORITY: 8.405-6(a)(2) Limited Sources Justification and Approval 13.106(b) Soliciting from a single source Determinations not to compete this proposed procurement were made because: Heavy equipment with operator, gravel delivery and spreading, septic pumping, and solid waste disposal services, The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Kanuti National Wildlife Refuge maintains several buildings at their field station in Bettles, AK. Frequently gravel is needed to maintain, improve, create, or expand, the surface surrounding these buildings for the purposes of parking, storage, and fill. In addition, septic pumping and solid waste disposal services are regularly needed to maintain these facilities. The Service does not own the heavy equipment needed to obtain, haul, and deliver gravel to their facilities, or to-pump haul and dispose of waste, so we need to contract for these services.
