--Notice of Intent to award a sole contract to Computer Aided Life Cycle Engineering (CALCE) Consortium for a Full Membership

The US Army Contracting Agency, Directorate of Contracting, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD intends to negotiate solely (as prescribed in FAR 6.302-1) with the University of Maryland, College Park, MD 20742-5141 for a Computer Aided Life Cycle Engineerin g (CALCE) Consortium Full Membership. University of Maryland, College Park is the only known source for obtaining membership in to CALCE. The contemplated award amount is less than the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. The Government intends to solicit an d negotiate with the UMD. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 611310 and the size standard is $ 6.0 Million in average annual reciepts for the past 3 reporting years. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability t o respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Responses to this notice must be received no later than 12:00 Noon, Eastern Standard Time, August 25th, 2005.
