RECOVERY-THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A NOTICE FOR SOLICITATION OF OFFERS. THE ACTION DESCRIBED HEREIN IS A MODIFICATION TO AN EXISTING CONTRACT, J05YA48033. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE CONTRACTOR IDENTIFIED BELOW. This opportunity is available only to Horizons Youth Services (HYS) under contract number J05YA48033. The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management, on behalf of Job Corps, intends to award a modification in the amount of $375,841 to the North Texas Job Corps Center (JCC), operated by HYS . These funds are provided under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The funding is within the not-to-exceed ceiling for Construction/Rehab on this contract. It would be impracticable to use a fixed price contract to secure services of the kind or quality required for this modification since the modification is to an existing Cost Plus Incentive Fee (Cost Reimbursement) contract. The funding is intended to correct the following facility deficiencies: 1) Roof of Storage building; 2) Insulation deficiencies for dormitories 0005, 0006, 0007, 0008, 0009, 0010, and Warehouse; and 3) Plumbing fixture deficiencies for dormitories 0005, 0007, 0008, 0009, and 0010. The operator of the North Texas JCC will procure the services of local construction and service providers, by making these funds available through subcontracting opportunities, following all applicable FAR procurement regulations. It is anticipated that this modification will be awarded 15 days from the date of this announcement.
