The U.S. Department of Labor; Employment and Training Administration intend to award a sole source contract to MINACT, Inc. for the continued operation of the Milwaukee Job Corps Center located at 6665 North 60th Street, Milwaukee, WI 53223. The statutory authority permitting this acquisition of this requirement by other than full and open competition is 41 USC 254(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Job Corps is a national residential training and employment program designed to prepare low-income youth to obtain and hold gainful employment or pursue further education or training. The contractor shall operate the aforementioned Job Corps center, which includes provision of academic, career technical, career success skills, and career development training, and related support services, for an estimated total of 106 residential male students, 106 residential female students, 10 nonresidential male students, and 15 nonresidential female students. The contractor shall operate residential quarters (housing) and services to all students as applicable. The program shall be operated by a contractor for the U.S. Department of Labor in accordance with the Workforce Investment Act of 2014, Job Corps regulations and the Policy and Requirements Handbook. The anticipated Period of Performance is: Base: January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2016 Option 1: January 1, 2017 through June 30, 2017. This is a Special Notice of the intent to award Sole Source contract. It is published for informational purposes only and not a request for competitive proposals. Therefore, no solicitation document exists for this requirement. No responses to the notice of intent to sole source are anticipated.
