RECOVERY-Construction/Rehab for Operation of the Excelsior Springs Job Corps Center

RECOVERY—THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A NOTICE FOR SOLICITATION OF OFFERS. THE ACTION DESCRIBED HEREIN IS A MODIFICATION TO AN EXISTING CONTRACT, DOLJ07RA00013. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE CONTRACTOR IDENTIFIED BELOW. This opportunity is available only to MINACT, Inc. under contract number DOLJ07A00013. The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management on behalf of the Office of Job Corps intends to award a modification in the amount of $1,225,503.00 to the Excelsior Springs Job Corps Center (JCC), operated by MINACT, Inc. These funds are provided under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The funding is within the not-to-exceed ceiling for Construction/Rehab on this contract. It would be impracticable to use a fixed price contract to secure services of the kind or quality required for this modification, since the modification is to an existing Cost Plus Incentive Fee contract (Cost Reimbursement Contract). The funding is intended to correct the following facility deficiencies: Program-Medical/Dental Deficiencies; Insulation Deficiencies; Interior Doors/Frame Deficiencies; Windows Deficiencies, Floor Finishes Deficiencies; Rehabilitation Deficiencies; Energy Related Deficiencies; Roof Repair; Plumbing Deficiencies; HVAC Deficiencies, Ventilation Deficiencies, and Air Conditioning Deficiencies. The operator of the Excelsior Springs JCC will procure the services of local construction and service providers, by making these funds available through subcontracting opportunities, following all applicable FAR procurement regulations. It is anticipated that this Modification will be awarded fifteen (15) days from the date of this announcement.
