R--Sled2Go Training | New York Harbor Health Care System Notice of Intent to Sole Source

This Notice of Intent to Sole Source is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available. The Department of Veterans of Affairs, New York Harbor Health Care System intends to place a Sled2Go Training procurement under other than full and open competition basis with the original end manufacturer of the product: Evacusled, 29 Rangemore Road, Toronto, ON M8Z 5H8. The purchase is for re-training of staff at the New York and Brooklyn campuses in the use of Evacusled Sled2Go devices, which are used to evacuate immobile patients down the stairs in emergencies when elevators cannot be used. The performance period will be 60 days after the award date, with no option years. Training dates will be arranged with the vendor and with involved staff once the Sleds arrive. The scope of work will require, but is not limited to, the following: The vendor will provide a total of 2 three-hour sessions, divided between the New York and Brooklyn campuses, and will include Nursing and EMS staff. Topics to include: features of the Sled2Go (e.g., intrinsic mattress and backboard, brakes, etc.); placing the patient in the Sled2Go; securing the device around the patient; bringing the device off the bed; horizontal transport; vertical transport down the stairs and use of the brakes; and repacking the Sled2Go back into its storage pouch. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b)(2), "soliciting from a single source. The NAICS code is 611699 and has a size standard of $11 million. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit Capability Statements in writing (via email) no later than 11:00 AM EST, Mar 8, 2019 to: [email protected]. Responses received may be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
