A -- Notice of Intent to Extend Contract for NAEP Outreach, Dissemination, and Logistical Support

NATIONAL ASSESSMENT OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRESS OUTREACH, DISSEMINATION AND LOGISTICAL SUPPORT Note: This notice is not a request for proposals: Current contractor: Hager Sharp, Inc. The U.S. Department of Education intends to extend the National Assessment of Educational Progress, Outreach, Dissemination and Logistical Support contract (ED-02-PO2738) by a period of 2 months (03/19/08 to 05/19/08). This no-cost extension is to provide support for AD in the preparation and dissemination of publications and outreach and field materials in both printed and electronic formats for the release of the NAEP 2007 Writing Report. The contract will expire on March 19, 2008, prior to the report's release in April 2008. This sole source extension would extend the contract to May 19, 2008. Two additional months are needed to complete the final report. This contract extension is intended as a sole source award to be made to Hager Sharp, Inc., in Washington, D.C. However, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. This sole source extension would extend the contract to May 19, 2008. This no-cost extension is due to government delays. Opening Date: February 7, 2008 Closing Date: February 21, 2008
