RECOVERY - Evaluating Impact and Effectiveness of the New US Chidlhood Rotavirus Vaccination Program

RECOVERY - THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY UNDER THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT 2009. This opportunity is available only to contractors under GSA Federal Supply Schedule 621-I under Special Item Number (SIN) 621-046, Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology This project will require the support services of one laboratory specialist with specialized skills to perform laboratory tasks to include: • Diagnosis of rotavirus in samples using commercial testing kits • Extraction of nucleic acids from samples using automated extractor instruments • Genotyping and molecular characterization of rotaviruses. The contractor will perform services at CDC locations under the guidance of CDC staff. This is not a request for competitive proposals, nor is a solicitation available. The solicitation will be issued to selected vendors in accordance with FAR 8.405 ordering procedures. Period of Performance: Twelve months from date of award, with one additional twelve month option.
