Sole Source intent of Graphic Mechanical Layouts.

The Regional Contracting Office, Northeast, Marine Corps Base, Quantico, Virginia intends to award a sole source contract to Christopher Chadbourne and Associates (CCA), 129 Portland Street FL 2, Boston, Massachusetts 02114-2014 for the services to create, produce, and finalize graphic mechanical files within complex exhibits within the National Museum of the Marine Corps (NMMC). This contract is a continuation of an eight month study conducted by CCA. The efficiencies gained by using CCAs in depth familiarity of the project, their warehoused fonts and output specifications, including digital color standards, will save several months in color corrections and fine-tuning output. Mission failure is highly likely if the Government were to contract with another firm. The delays would jeopardize the overall project, would be a duplication of effort and expenditure of funds causing substantial duplication of cost to the Government. The period of performance will be for the base CLIN and three (3) option CLINS from the date of award. This notice is not a request for proposals. No solicitation document is available for competitive bidding, however, interested parties may submit a written statement of capability for satisfying this requirement to the email address identified below no later than 12:00 PM 22 July 2008. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
