The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) intends to award a sole source Purchase order to Hotel rooms are needed to accommodate SIU 117 students. The Comfort Inn Stafford is located 8.4 miles (19 minutes) from the DEA Training Academy and 450 ft (4 minute walk) from the Stafford Training Center (STC). This makes it one of the closest hotels to either campus. With recent changes to base accessibility, students require as much time as possible to gain entry to the facility. It is also centrally located. The acquisition will be conducted through FAR Part 13 “Simplified Acquisition Procedures.” The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 721110. In accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(16)(ii), vendors that feel they can meet the Government’s requirement detailed above may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price purchase order. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The acquisition will be conducted through FAR Part 13 “Simplified Acquisition Procedures”. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotation.
