Notice of Intent to Award a Sole-Source Modification to Extend Contract Period of Performance Up To Twelve (12) Months, NAICS 722310. This synopsis provides notification of the 50th Contracting Squadron's intent to award a sole-source modification to extend contract FA2550-06-C-2000, Full Food Service, for a period of up to twelve (12) months. The period of performance for this extension will begin on 15 September 2010, and potentially extend through 14 September 2011. The extension will be performed by the incumbent Randolph-Sheppard Act contractor, Riley, John F. doing business as Colorado BEP Schriver, 1500 Bradford Ct, Woodland Park, CO, 80863. A full and open competition with preference to Randolph-Sheppard Act vendors in the competitive range was awarded on 1 November 2005 for full food service at Schriever AFB, Colorado. Services include providing a full meal service, to include dining facility management, all cooking and food preparation, serving, replenishing food, cleaning facilities and utensils, preparing vegetables and fruit for salad bar, cleaning dining area tables, cashier services, operation, maintenance and repair of food service equipment, performing all required tasks, to include continued service, during contingencies to 50th Space Wing and tenant units. Services are required 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The extension will be performed under the same terms and conditions as the existing contract. The contract type is firm fixed price. The extension will provide for continuation of uninterrupted services to the Schriever AFB operations described above. This extension of services is accomplished pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(5) "Authorized or Required by Statute", specifically the Randolph-Sheppard Act and 41 U.S.C. and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) as implement by FAR 13.501, Section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Not awarding this extension would cause serious injury to the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competency of the work required during the extension period would be advantageous to the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this contract extension period, based on this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
