Special Notice 1 DESCRIPTION The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 9, intends to award a sole source contract with ALDEVRA LLC, for Annual Maintenance for ten (10) Air Innovations Inc, Climate Controlled Storage Cabinets (CCSC). Market Research has shown ALEDVRA LLC to be the only contractor capable of providing the required services on behalf on the manufacturer, Air Innovations Inc, IAW an Authorized Dealer Letter provided by the manufacturer. Period of performance will be One Year. Justification for this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 13.106-1 soliciting from a sole-source, including Brand Name. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any business that believes it can meet these requirements and possesses relevant past-experience and expertise may give written notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Responses will be considered by the Government however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. General Information 1.1 Introduction and Overview TVHA currently has ten (10) climate control storage cabinets manufactured by Air Innovations Inc. This service maintenance is required to maintain the integrity of the storage unit to maintain the right environment of the storage material from being compromised. Air Innovations Inc has an SDVOSB partner vendor, Aldevra, who will provide preventative maintenance and services. 1.2 Background Sterile Processing Service (SPS) requires services on 10 climate control cabinets located at the Alvin C. York campus. The storage units are utilized throughout the facility to help maintain optimal conditions, such as temperature and humidity control, positive pressure, and filtration of sterile instrumentation processed by the SPS. Requirements 2.1 Tasks and Skills Required Aldevra Maintenance Certification Climate control Cabinets Cabinet Maintenance Certification, as authorized by Air Innovations Inc. 2.1.2 Guidelines Guidelines include agency regulations, VA and VHA directives, Sterile Processing Service SOPs, manufacturer instructions and accepted practices. Guidelines consist of vendor publications related to listed equipment operating instructions. Technician will comply to the facility s Covid guidelines. 2.1.3 Personal Contacts The technician will have personal contact with facility Sterile Processing Staff. 2.2 Other Significant Facts: HEALTH AND SAFETY Complies with all safety and personal protective equipment rules and regulations, using when required and provided. CUSTOMER SERVICE Consistently communicates and treats VA TVHS employees (and to the extent applicable, its patients, visitors, volunteers and all medical center staff) in a courteous, tactful and respectful manner. Provides VA TVHS with consistent information. Handles any conflict and problems with VA TVHS constructively and appropriately.
