NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract under the statutory authority of 15 U.S.C 637(f) and in accordance with FAR 6.302-5(b)(6) . The Reference Number is FA441821Q0024. The 628th Contracting Squadron (628 CONS), 101 E. Hill Blvd, Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina (JB CHS), intends to award a single source contract for the inspection and as needed repairs for JB CHS Fire Training Facility. The requirement consists of semi-annual and annual inspection and as needed repairs of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) lines within the JB CHS Fire Training Facility. The Fire Training Facility also has a water conservation pond, burn area, and trench and includes a high-density polyethylene liner, Additionally, all work being performed shall ensure compliance with the applicable National Fire Protection Association national consensus standards listed below. NFPA 54, National Fuel Gas Code (2021 Edition) NFPA 58, Liquefied Petroleum Gas Code (2020 Edition) NFPA 70, National Electrical Code® (2020 Edition) NFPA 405, Standard for the Recurring Proficiency of Airport Fire Fighters (2020 Edition) 628 CONS intends to make an award to WRGA FIRE TRAINING SOLUTIONS, INC., 1100 S Industrial Pkwy Bldg 100, Newberg, OR. This is a natural follow on to FA441819CA030 for repair and maintenance for items that are covered under warranty by the intended awardee for the duration of this intended contract and all other items listed in paragraph two. Market research was performed and information gathered in determining this company to be a suitable source for this requirement. In accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(15), the proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with a single source based on the statutory authority of 15 U.S.C 637(f) and in accordance with FAR 6.302-5(b)(6). This notice of intent to award is not a request for competitive proposals; however, responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
