Sole Source Service Plan for Simulators

PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED. The Department of the Navy (DoN) intends to negotiate a one-time sole source contract with Gaumard Scientific Company, Inc., 14700 SW 136th St, Miami, FL, 33196-5691. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-2. This notice will be distributed through the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fbo.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring FBO website to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Classification System Code is 811490; the size standard is $7.5 million. The Department of the Navy (DoN) intends to award a non-competitive, sole source contract to Gaumard Scientific Company, Inc., 14700 SW 136th St, Miami, FL, 33196-5691, for the purchase of three (3) Service Plans for adult and newborn simulators that meets DON's requirements. Based on market research conducted and contacts made with knowledgeable individuals within the government it has been determined DON's requirement can only be provided Gaumard Scientific Company, Inc., as they are the sole manufacturing authority and hold all data, machinery and processes for production of three (3) Service Plans for adult and newborn simulators. Sole-Source Justification will be posted upon award. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement to this office by 5:00 pm, EST, April 17, 2016, by email to the attention of Sherri Roche, Contract Specialist, at [email protected]. Facsimile offers will not be accepted. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Telephone requests will not be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
