Notice of Intent to Award Brand Name Sole Source to Kantara Initative for Membership Service

General Services Administration (GSA), Federal Acquisition Service (FAS), Technology Transformation Services’ (TTS) Office of Acquisition (OA), hereby issues this solicitation as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) with its associated attachments, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.6 and FAR 13.5 ordering procedures for a Kantara Membership. This procurement is also being conducted in accordance with procedures in FAR subpart 13.5 under the authority for other than full and open competition FAR 13.106-1(b) soliciting from a single source. This notice of intent to is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is entirely at the discretion of the Government. To successfully achieve the Identity Program Management Office’s (PMO) goals and the Identity Program Support contract, Identity requires an annual organizational level membership with Kantara. This Agreement covers the services and benefits that Kantara provides as a benefit of membership. It includes an Identity Assurance Trust Framework for solution providers seeking evidence of conformance to NIST and other standards and guidelines. It also includes Kantara’s sourcing of standards mapping services.
