Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract to the Construction Management Association of America

The General Services Administration, Public Building Service (GSA/PBS) Utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures (FAR Part 13), intends to make an award to the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), McLean, VA, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. GSA/PBS is pursuing procurement action to renew the Owner Practitioner, Memberships for Regional Personnel to the CMAA. Individual memberships benefit GSA by keeping Project Managers in the Capital Construction Projects involved with private sector counterparts and up to date with private sector practices that can be readily applied to Federal Construction Projects. The proposed contract is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only once source under the authority of FAR 6.302. The NAICS code is 813920. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government will consider all responses received by 4:30 pm., est., Monday, December 22, 2008. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
