The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award, on a sole source basis, a Purchase Order to the Florida Department of Health (FL DOH) Tallahassee, Florida. The purpose of the purchase will include Epidemiological and Statistical Support for Formatting and Linking the FL DOH information data sets with the Center for Disease Control, Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) information data sets. The contractor will provide the data files of birth/death records and other analytical information to support research agenda/analytical plans in support of the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (NCCDPHP) Division of Reproductive Health (DRH) program objectives. The authority for this procurement is FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The period of performance is for one (1) year and will begin with award of the purchase order. Anticipated award date is August 20, 2008. This announcement is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the required services are encouraged to identify themselves and provide written notification to the Contracting Officer, within fifteen (15) days from the date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
