TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER OPPORTUNITY: Conductive Carbon Nanotube Ink For Inkjet Printing (KSC-TOPS-41)

NASA's Technology Transfer Program solicits inquiries from companies interested in obtaining license rights to commercialize, manufacture and market the following technology. License rights may be issued on an exclusive or nonexclusive basis and may include specific fields of use. NASA provides no funding in conjunction with these potential licenses . THE TECHNOLOGY: The Conductive Carbon Nanotube Ink for Inkjet Printing technology combines carbon nanotube inks with other additives, such as metallic nanoparticles, for use in standard inkjet printing. These inks have resistances in the kilohm range. In demonstrations and evaluation tests of standard inkjet printing, these composite inks have created coatings that are significantly more conductive than other commercially available carbon nanotube inks. These inks are water-based and can be readily applied to a number of surfaces, including paper and textiles.
