The United States Department of Agriculture, Office of the Chief Financial Officer, National Finance Center (NFC), is seeking information on the latest technology and published price information on mainframe based, enterprise wide, Printer Resource/Forms Control software solution(s) for enhancing its OS/390/Xerox Printer environment. Xerox's XPAF software is currently used for printer resource/forms control. The NFC is seeking information on any and all products that meet or exceed the Xerox XPAF functionality. This information will be used to further evaluate possibilities for the NFC to expand upon its current environment, and increase the services currently offered to its customers. The computing host is an IBM OS390 Mainframe with an operating environment of OS/390 with JES2, CA-Dispatch and/or BMC's Control-D. The printer environment includes channel attached Xerox LCDS system printers, LAN attached PCL network printers, and other remote printers. At no cost to the Government, we request that any vendor specializing in OS/390 mainframe print control software utilities, provide all available information for any and all related products. It is also requested that published list prices for any or all of these products be provided. This is NOT a Request for Proposal. There will be no contract award resulting from this effort.
