76 -- Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS) Electronic Diagnostics Assessment Tool for Mathematics Students in Grade Levels 3 - 8

This is a Sources Sought Notice for Market Research only for The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Office of System Accountability. There is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. As a civilian agency of the U.S. Department of Defense, DoDEA operates 224 public schools in 21 districts located in 14 foreign countries, 7 states, Guam, and Puerto Rico with approximately 8,800 teachers serving 106,000 students. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to identify sources which can provide a commercial off the shelf electronic diagnostic assessment program to measure students’ strengths and weaknesses in core mathematics skills and concepts in grades 3 – 8. Qualified sources shall have a commercial off the shelf (COTS) electronic diagnostic assessment program that: a) aligns test items to the NCTM and DoDEA mathematics standards (available at http://www.odedodea.edu/instruction/curriculum/math/stands.htm); b) gives students the opportunity to respond to test items which are multiple-choice and open ended; c) provides immediate feedback reports for teachers and students to identify specific strengthens and weaknesses of individual students by identifying correct and incorrect answers; d) provides administrative usage reports and cumulative school reports on grade level performance to DoDEA Headquarters; and e) provides technical support for teachers within a 24 hour time period. This is a Sources Sought Notice for MARKET RESEARCH ONLY. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS EXIST AT THIS TIME. All responses shall be submitted for receipt by the POC not later than 1 PM (EST) 1 Mar 04 and must include the following: 1) your company's name, address, POC and his/her telephone and fax numbers; 2) your company's statement of capabilities; 3) a list of relevant references to document past performance that includes up-to-date POC names and telephone numbers; and 4) a product demo which demonstrates sample student questions and administrative reports. Product demos will not be returned unless the vendor provides prepaid return shipping/packaging with response submission.
