Description
Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 6, Subparts 6.301 and 6.302, the Bureau of the Census intends to contract with NetVersant Solutions-Chesapeake, Inc., 900 North Lehigh Street, Baltimore, MD 21205 on a sole source basis for additional security upgrades to an existing access control system. NetVersant has been awarded a contract to convert the entire Census Bureau access control and photo ID systems to the Lenel OnGuard. This modification is for additional security upgrades to be integrated as an expansion of the existing system which is currently operational at the Bowie Computer Center. NetVersant has unique knowledge of the Lenel system, Census Bureau operation and also hold the warranty and service agreements for the Lenel security system used at the Bowie Computer Center. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the government. In doing so, interested sources must submit technical capabilities, pricing and other information that demonstrates their ability to meet the Census Bureau's needs. Detailed capabilities must be submitted to the Bureau of the Census, Acquisition Division, 4700 Silver Hill Road, Rm. G-314, Suitland, MD 20746, Attn: Linda Vance. This synopsis is not to be considered a request for quotations or proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. If no affirmative written response is received within 15 days from the publication of this synopsis, a contract will be issued to NetVersant Solutions without further notice.
