The Virginia Contracting Activity on behalf of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), intends to award a sole source Firm-Fixed Price purchase order to Heidelberg Eastern, Inc. Riverspark II, Bldg 9104 Guilford Road, Columbus, MD 21046 for maintenance service on several different pieces of the OSRD printing equipment. Heildelberg is the manufacturer of all the equipment that is being serviced and is the sole proprietor of this equipment. Other sources for satisfying this requirement are invited to submit clear and convincing data substantiating their capability to satisfy this requirement. All responses should reference PR number: 498-0008Z-03. Interested parties have 15 days from the publication date of this synopsis to submit their qualification/capablities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a full and open competition basis. Responses received without this requested information may be considered non-responsive to this synopsis. Oral communications will not be acceptable. A determination by the Virginia Contracting Activity not to compete this proposed procurement on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this synopsis is solely within the discretion of the Virginia Contracting Activity. No contract award will be made on the basis of offers or any other information received in response to this notice because this synopsis of intent to place an order will not be considered a solicitation document. If no affirmative written documentation, technical specifications and pricing are received within 15 days of this synopsis, to the effect that a comparable source is available or that is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Heidelberg Eastern, Inc. Vendors must include telephone number, e-mail address, facsimile number, if available, in their correspondence. Telephone request SHALL NOT be accepted.
