70--Software License Renewal

The Bureau of the Census intends to negotiate and award a sole source purchase order to the Regents of California, Berkeley, CA for renewal of CASES License for FY2004. The basis for the proposed non-competitive action is that the University is the only legal source with rights to the CASES suite source code and is the only organization that can meet the Census's needs and requirements. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only, and is not a request for competitive proposals; no solicitation will be issued.
