The Directorate of Contracting (DOC), Fort Campbell, KY, has a requirement for repair of two tents manufactured by Anchor Industries, Inc. Repairs include replacement parts as follows for the 30 ft x 30 ft Custom MilSpan Structure, Complete 30 ft x 30 ft MilSpan Frame (1 each); AA Powder coated (OD Green) extruded aluminum box-beams with purlins, base plates, stakes and all hardware (3 each); Convection Middle Panel with custom diaper carry bag (2 each); Lower Middle Panel with 2 Temper Doors and cus tom diaper carry bag (1 each); Lower Middle Panel with 6 20 inch duct with flaps and custom diaper carry bag (1 each); 30 ft x 30 ft 3-piece fabric floor with custom diaper carry bag (1 each); 30 ft Full Gable End with 1 Temper door, 3 20 inch ducts with f laps and carry bag (1 each); 15 inch Redesigned camouflage support poles (9 each); MilSpan Racks (1 each); Repair Kit (1 each); Extra Parts Kit (1 each); Install Tool Kit (1 each); ½ inch drive socket (2 each); 1 1/8 inch socket (2 each); 1 1/8 combinat ion wrench (2 each); 200 ft tape line (2 each). Repairs include replacement parts as follows for the 50 ft x 90 ft AA Mil Span: 15 ft x 60 ft Lower Middle Panel with 4 Temper Windows, 6 20 inch ducts with flaps, drop ceiling tucks, and custom diaper carr y bag (1 each); 10 ft x 50 ft Lower Middle Panel with 2 Temper doors, drop ceiling tucks, and custom diaper carry bag (2 each); 15 ft x 50 ft Lower Middle Panel with 2 Temper doors, drop ceiling tucks, and custom diaper carry bag (3 each); 10 ft x 50 ft Lo wer Middle Panel with 2 Temper windows and 6 20 in ducts with flaps and custom diaper carry bag (1 each); 10 ft x 50 ft Convection Middle Panel with custom diaper carry bag (2 each); 15 ft x 50 ft Convection Middle Panel with custom diaper carry bag (5 ea ch); 50 ft Full Gable End with 2 Temper doors, 5 20 ft ducts with flaps, drop ceiling tucks, and carry bag (2 each); 50 ft x 90 ft 7-piece fabric floor with custom diaper carry bag (1 each); and 50 ft x 90 ft 7-piece Drop Ceiling with hardware (1 each). R equirement also includes engineering calculations for a wind load of 70 mph and snow load of 3 psf. The procurement will be conducted on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The Agency intends to enter into a firm-fixed-price, supply-type contract with Anchor Industries, Inc. located in Evansville, Indiana. The basis for restricting competition is that Anchor Industries manufactured the original tents and is believed to be t he only source who can manufacture the replacement parts to be compatible with the original products. Further, there would be duplicative cost to the Government to utilize another source to satisfy the Governments requirement. NAICS code for this procure ment is 314912 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This sole source requirement will be procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition, and awarded on an unrestricted basis. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS and solicitation will not be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 14 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based up on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government. See Numbered Note 22. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation with the manufacturer, Anchor Industries, Inc.
