H--Quality Control, Formulation, and Testing of paints, coatings, and chemical agents

NA The US Army Research Laboratory, Weapons and Materials Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005 intends to award on a sole source basis under FAR 6.302-1 and 13.5 with Pauline Smith, Havre de Grace, MD for the purchase of services for Quality Control, f ormulation, and testing of paints under the Qualified Products List Program (QPL), Chemical Agent Resistant and Ammunition Coatings for Army applications. All work is to be performed on site at Bldg 4600, WMRD, APG, MD 21005. Knowledge of appropriate mil itary specifications and ASTM procedures and requirements is required. Significant expertise in the area of Chemical agent resistant coatings (CARC) in a research environment is required. Occasion travel and training may be required to provide technical support to Army programs. The contractor must be a United States citizen and must have a favorable completed/adjudicated (cleared) National Agency Check (NAC) investigation prior to working on the installation. The period of performance will be one base y ear with two option years. The proposed contract action is to maintain continuity and required level of effort for the research efforts already established within the ARL. Award will be made within the month of January 2003. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the agency will consider all proposals received prior to the closing date of this notice. No telephone requests will be honored.
