U--Mosby's Nursing Skills Subscription VA Northern California Health Care System

The Department of Veteran Affairs, VA Northern California Health Care System intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Elsevier, Inc. dba Elsevier Science, 3251 Riverport Lane, Maryland Heights, MO 63043 under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Sole source justification has been prepared in support of this acquisition. Firms believing they can provide these services above must provide written notification to the Contracting Officer with supporting evidence to that effect in sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondent's ability to meet the stated requirements. This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. All responses received by July 12, 2012, 5:00PM PDT will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses should be emailed to the [email protected]. Responses should include the firm's Dun and Bradstreet number (DUNS) and Tax Identification Number (TIN). Firms should identify business size (i.e. small business, other than small business, etc.) in accordance with the size standard for NAICS Code 519130 which is 500 employees. This acquisition is unrestricted. The contract will be firm-fixed price. The period of performance will consists of a Base Year and four one (1) year options. This notice may represent the only official notice of such a solicitation. Elsevier, Inc. shall furnish all personnel, equipment, site license and facilities to provide an online journal subscription via internet access to Mosby's Nursing Skills and Mosby's Nursing Skills-Perioperative a database used to provide current clinical updates to train, monitor, and test nursing skills.
