Intent to Sole Source- Integrated Radio and Optical Communications (iROC) Silicon carbide (SiC) Telescope Assembly

NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) has a requirement for The Integrated Radio and Optical Communications (iROC) Silicon carbide (SiC) Telescope Assembly with the period of performance not to exceed thirty eight (38) months after contract award. All interested parties shall review the specifications and requirements in ATTACHMENT A- SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS. NASA GRC intends to issue a sole source contract to acquire the Supply from Xinetics of Devens, MA under the authority of Federal Acquisitions Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 due to only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Ian Park, Contracting Officer at [email protected] not later than 12:00 PM EDT on August 10, 2021. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
