Powell (202) 512-3725 DESC: SPECIALIZED AUDIT DATA: The United States Government Accountability Office (GAO) intends to issue an order under other than full and open competition to Telcordia, 8 Corporate Place, Piscataway, NJ 08854-4157 for the acquisition of one specialized data product: CLONES (Common Language Online Entry System), for a base year with one option. CLONES is a real-time database that is the repository of CLLI (Common Language Location Identifier) codes. CLLI codes identify the types, locations, and owners of telecommunications network equipment in the United States. This database is required in order that GAO may provide information on the overall state of facilities-based competition for special access services in the United States. CLONES data is updated on an as needed basis by those telecommunications companies who provide information on the location of their network equipment in CLONES. GAO believes that Telcordia’s CLONES data product described above is not offered by any other vendor; and because of that, GAO avoids a time consuming and substantial process in seeking other similar data which do not exist to GAO’s knowledge.
