Biochemical Profile Analysis - performed by liquid chromatography / mass spectroscopy and gas chromatography / mass spectroscopy of human serum samples NAICS: 541712 Procurement Office: United States Environmental Protection Agency, Superfund Regional Operations Division (3805R) 1200 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20004 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency?s Office of Superfund Regional Procurement Operations Division, intends to award a sole source firm-fixed priced purchase order for one year service agreement human serum samples be analyzed for the occurrence and quantity of biochemicals (small molecules < 1200 Daltons molecular weight) using three integrated mass spectral techniques, LC/MS/MS/ES+; LC/MS/MS/ES-; and GC/MS EI+. The intent is to issue the purchase order to Metabolon, Inc., located at 617 Davis Drive, Suite 400 Durham, NC 27713 US. This specific provider has been requested because EPA has previously performed samples analysis by Metabolon Inc and would like the research results to compare to our previous study (PR-ORD-13-00233). Metabolon is the only vendor with proprietary methods and databases (e. g. LC and GC retention times and MS/MS spectra of hundreds of small molecules) that are needed to analyze these human samples. They employ proprietary LC/MS and GC/MS platforms combined with Metabolon?s in-house patented software to identify hundreds of small molecules in biological samples. Metabolon?s processes and software are protected as intellectual property and are not available through other distribution means. The intended order is in the amount of $15,000.00.
