Notice of Intent to Sole Source: Maintenance Service for Nikon CSU-W1 SoRa Spinning Disk Confocal Microscope and Associated Instrumentation

The Laboratory of Cancer Biology and Genetics (LCBG), Microscopy Core within the Center for Cancer Research (CCR) at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) requires preventative maintenance and emergency services for its Nikon CSU-W1 SoRa Spinning Disk confocal microscope and associated instrumentation used for live cell and super-resolution imaging of cancer cell lines and organoids. The Office of Acquisitions (OA) plans to procure, on a sole source basis, maintenance services for this specialized confocal microscope from Nikon Instruments, Inc. (1300 Walt Whitman Road Melville, NY 11747). The response close date of this notice for this requirement is in accordance with FAR 5.203(a)(1). This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 12 – Acquisition for Commercial Items and will be made pursuant to the authority in FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) using simplified acquisition procedures for commercial acquisitions.
