Biotemplated Carbon Nanofibers for the Broad Spectrum Removal of Chemical Threats

This Cost Reimbursable contract was awarded under a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) W911SR-20-C-0031 to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) located at 77 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge MA 02139 - 4301 on behalf of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command, Chemical Biological Center (CCDC CBC). Broad Agency Announcements are issued under the provisions of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) paragraph 6.102(d)(2) using the evaluation procedures in accordance with FAR 35.016, which provides for the acquisition of basic and applied research and that part of development not related to the development of a specific system or hardware procurement through the competitive selection of proposals, and 10 U.S.C. 2358, 10 U.S.C. 2371, and 10 U.S.C. 2371b, which provide the authorities for issuing awards under this announcement for basic and applied research. Proposals submitted in response to this BAA and selected for award are considered to be the result of full and open competition and in full compliance with the provisions of Public Law 98-369, "The Competition in Contracting Act of 1984" and subsequent amendments.
