OHIO Class Submarine Emergency Diesel Generator Crankshaft Replacement

Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY & IMF) awarded this fixed price contract under the authority of 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(2) and in accordance with FAR 6.302-2, Unusual and Compelling Urgency. This fixed price supply contract was awarded to Fairbanks Morse, LLC, for the replacement of emergency diesel generator crankshafts on an Ohio Class submarine, with a period of performance of 04MAR-04MAY 2020. Competition was limited to Fairbanks Morse, as they are the known source for this requirement. Competition was limited to avoid an impact to the operational readiniess of the vessel and to avoid degradation of the Navy's mission.
