This acquisition is sole source to Textron Systems Corporation because it is the only responsible source (FAR 6.302-1) capable of supporting this requirement for In-Service Engineering Agent support, maintenance, repair, and overhaul for the Mine Countermeasure Unmanned Surface Vehicle (MCM USV) and associated payloads without unacceptable delay. Additionally, Textron possesses specialized knowledge and experience as the prime integrator.
