Description
The Medical Readiness Contracting Office – Pacific awarded a sole source Blanket Purchase Agreement to Pathology Consultants, Inc. to provide Pathology Testing Services for Bassett Army Community Hospital (BACH), Fort Wainwright, Alaska. This requirement is for a period of performance from 15 November 2023 through 14 November 2028. The contractor shall provide the non-personal services of Pathology Testing for BACH. Specimens for testing include but are not limited to: blood, serum, urine, tissue, feces, mucosal, body fluids and spinal fluids. Turnaround time requirements for patient care and patient safety of 24-48 hours is required to meet College of Pathologist (CAP) and Joint Commission (JC) regulations. For Clinical Pathology specimens, those specimens that are ordered as STAT need to have a turnaround time of one hour. Breast Tissue must be processed within 48 hours; cultures attached to tissue must be processed within 48 hours and in the same facility. All specimen processing and testing shall be completed in accordance with current CAP and JC regulations as detailed in the Performance Work Statement.
