The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office located in St Paul, Minnesota intends to issue sole source a firm fixed priced commercial item contract to Avera Medical Hospital to perform Radiology Services for a five-month period to prevent a gap in critical health care services, while the long-term contract is solicited and awarded. The services will be performed at the Sioux Falls VA Health Care System at 2501 W 22nd Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57105. A sole source procurement will be issued to Avera Medical Hospital because there is only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements for the five-month period from 5/1/20 through 9/30/20. Avera has the staff in place and IT system established to send and receive radiology studies. Radiology services are critical for Veteran care and must continue without interruption, while the long-term contract is being worked. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b) (2), "soliciting from a single source." The NAICS code is 621111 and has a size standard of $10M for this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes.
