Structural Wall Repair, Main Laboratory, Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory, Hanover, NH

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – New England District is issuing a Pre-Solicitation Notice for repairs to a structural wall in the basement of the Main Laboratory Building, on the campus of the Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) in Hanover, New Hampshire. The work required shall be performed in a limited workspace and will consist of the following: Removal of a suspended portion of brick veneer below a concrete beam and existing concrete masonry unit (CMU) wall Installation of a new shoring system along the wall opening to support the remaining brick veneer above The shoring system includes providing and installing a structural steel W8x31 beam with four supporting columns Removal and replacement of one 4-inch abandoned conduit Relocation of a small diameter de-ionization line Patching of existing CMU walls and existing columns This is not a request for offers at this time. This procurement is set-aside for small business vendors. The applicable NAICS code is 23890 with a Small Business Size Standard of $16.5 Million.
