DREDGE BOAT BASIN AND CHANNEL USCG STATION SHINNECOCK HAMPTON BAYS NY PSN 9829703

DREDGE BOAT BASIN AND CHANNEL AT USCG STATION SHINNECOCK, HAMPTON BAYS, NEW YORK (SUFFOLK COUNTY), PSN #98296965. Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, materials, tools, vehicles, supervision, and other items and services required to perform maintenance dredging of the boat basin and channel at USCG Station Shinnecock. Dredging shall be by mechanical means only. Hydraulic dredging is not allowed. Dredge spoils will be de-watered on-site and disposed of at 110 Sand Co. in Melville, NY. The total estimated amount of material to be dredged is 5,445 CY at the boat basin and 5,281 CY at the channel for a combined total of 10,726 CY of coarse sand, silt, clay, and gravel. Due to the scheduling restrictions in the NYSDEC dredging permit, all in-water work for the dredging must be completed between OCT 1 and DEC 31, 2020. No in-water work is permitted after DEC 31st due to permitting and environmental restrictions. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with project specifications PSN 9829703, Drawings for PSN 9829703, NYSDEC Permit, Army Corps permit, and the applicable wage rates incorporated into the solicitation. All permits have been secured. SPECIAL NOTES : 1. Conduct dredging operations so that navigation through the channel is possible at all times. 2. Dredge quantity of 10,726 CY is an estimate based on a hydrographic survey performed in NOV 2019. The Contractor shall provide a cost for dredging per CY. That per CY cost will be used for any necessary contract cost adjustment resulting from dredging more or less than the estimated 10,726 CY within the limits of dredge. Contractor will be compensated for the actual quantity of dredge material removed and disposed, within the limits of dredge, as shown on the plans and specifications. 3. Dredge spoils will be de-watered on-site and disposed of at 110 Sand Co. in Melville, NY.
