This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number to be used is VA-250-08-RQ-0375 and is being issued as a Request for a Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and the incorporated provisions and clauses herein are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26. The item being sought by this solicitation is: 1. Rock Salt for snow and ice control used on roadways, parking lots, and sidewalks. Quantity: 700 Tons. Potential vendors will be required to provide their own salt piler to distribute the requested material at the delivery site. Please provide a quote for the requested item. Include in your quote the following information: Delivery Charge, all applicable fees and line items, DUNS #, Tax ID number and fax number. Delivery will take place on or before the 30th day after the confirmation of the award, and the address will be the salt bin at the VA Medical Center at 4100 West Third Street, Dayton, OH, 45428. All firms or individuals responding must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 212393. This requirement is a Small Business set-aside and only qualified offerors will be eligible for award.
