65--Solicitation for the Script Pro Pharmacy dispensing equipment for the Springfield CBOC.

Under authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 (c ) (1), the VA Medical Center, Dayton OH intends to issue a sole source award to Scriptpro USA Inc. to provide a Scriptpro SP 100 Robotic Proscription Dispensing System with Collating Control Center. The contractor shall furnish all supplies, materials, and labor necessary to deliver the system and install it at the Dayton VA Medical Center's Clinical Based Outpatient Care Facility (CBOC) located in Springfield at 512 South Burnett Road, Springfield, OH 45505. A 12-month support service to maintain the system will also be required. The price provided shall be inclusive of all delivery and installation charges. The estimated amount of this award is $259,321.00. The Government has a need to maintain continuity and consistency in equipment and training between the various locations throughout VISN 10 in the State of Ohio. It is anticipated that procurement of a separate system would result in a substantial duplication of cost to the government that is highly unlikely to be recoverable through competition. Previous VA procurements have utilized this specific type of equipment, for which, there is only one known manufacturer and provider. As such the government plans to solicit and make an award for this requirement to only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1). A justification and approval is attached with this notice; signed copies are available upon request. This is not a request for competitive proposals. Solicitation packages are not available. Responses received in relation to this notice will be reviewed; however, ultimate determination regarding the removal of the sole source for this requirement rests with the contracting officer.
